Equipment Card (Fables) Rules/Examples -WIP-

Fables are a system to serve the role of equipment. Only one can be applied to a champion, as such the stats they produce are highly impactful.

Rules of equipment cards

All cards provide the following:

  • Physical Damage

  • Magical Damage

  • Physical Defense

  • Magical Defense

  • Health

  • Unique Stat

  • Unique Passive

The unique stat/passive has the following properties.

  • Unique stat outside the above listed (e.g., attack speed, critical chance, etc)

  • Unique passive (e.g., For every hex traveled, permanently increase basic damage by 3%, stacks up to 30% max)

Unique Passives can often have requirements.

  • By archtype (e.g., If mage class.)

  • By Faction

  • By Element

  • And further defining classifications. (in the future we may do by groups within factions, (e.g. if Vampires or if Hacker.)

Rough Examples of card stats

1. The Pheonix Blade

  • Physical Attack: +50

  • Magical Attack: +20

  • Health: +100

  • Magical Defense: +30

  • Physical Defense: +40

  • Unique Stat: Adds 15% critical strike chance.

  • Passive Effect: Ignites the target, dealing 5% of their max health as fire damage over 5 seconds.

2. Battle of Whispers

  • Physical Attack: +10

  • Magical Attack: +60

  • Health: +80

  • Magical Defense: +50

  • Physical Defense: +20

  • Unique Stat: Increases ability damage by 10%.

  • Passive Effect: If Mage Class, additionally increases ability damage by 10%.

3. The Last Stand

  • Physical Attack: +20

  • Magical Attack: +10

  • Health: +150

  • Magical Defense: +60

  • Physical Defense: +70

  • Unique Stat: Shields target for 20% of health at the start of the match.

  • Passive Effect: Reflects 10% of incoming damage back to the attacker.

4. Misty Reunion

  • Physical Attack: +70

  • Magical Attack: +15

  • Health: +50

  • Magical Defense: +20

  • Physical Defense: +30

  • Unique Stat: Increases attack speed by 15%.

  • Passive Effect: Grants invisibility for 3 seconds after a champion is defeated.

5. Peacefull Spring

  • Physical Attack: +5

  • Magical Attack: +40

  • Health: +120

  • Magical Defense: +70

  • Physical Defense: +30

  • Unique Stat: Increases healing done by 15%.

  • Passive Effect: Heals the wearer for 5% of their max health every 10 seconds.

6. Protectors Ballad

  • Physical Attack: +30

  • Magical Attack: +10

  • Health: +200

  • Magical Defense: +40

  • Physical Defense: +60

  • Unique Stat: Reduces physical damage taken by 15%.

  • Passive Effect: Grants a 5% chance to stun attackers for 2 seconds.
