Each champion is entirely unique and composed of:

  • Star rating

  • Element type

  • Faction

  • Abilities

  • Stats

  • Archtype

Champion Design

1. Champion Functionality:

  • Rarity: Define the Champion’s star rarity (e.g., 1 star or 5 star Champions).

  • Star rating determines Champions effectiveness.

  • Skills and Abilities:

  • Specify the Champion’s active and passive skills.

  • Consider cooldowns, resource costs, and status effects.

  • Describe any unique abilities or mechanics.

Leveling and Progression:

  • Champions gain experience points (XP) through battles and exp tomes.

  • Through Champion Shards, increase the star rating of individual champions.

2. Idle Mechanics:

Auto-Battle:

  • Champions engage in battles automatically.

  • Specify AI behavior (targeting, skill usage).

  • Offline Progression:

  • Champions continue to gain XP and resources even when the player is offline.

  • Define the rate of progression during idle periods.

  • Include notifications or rewards upon returning to the game.

3. Balancing and Tuning:

Stat Scaling:

  • Determine how Champion stats scale with level.

  • Balance growth rates to avoid power spikes.

Skill Balance:

  • Regularly review and adjust skill effectiveness.

  • Avoid overpowered or underpowered abilities.

  • Consider potential skill combinations.

Resource Economy

  • Champions require resources (gold, stamina, etc.).

  • Balance resource costs and acquisition rates.

  • Consider resource sinks to maintain game balance.

4. Progression:

Champion Acquisition:

  • Specify how players obtain new Champions (packs, quests, events).

  • Consider character rates and values.

Champion Customization:

  • Allow players to customize Champion appearances (skins, colors).

  • Consider cosmetic purchases for monetization.

Implementation Details

Attributes:

  • Define core attributes (e.g., strength, agility, defense).

  • Specify how attributes impact combat performance.

Art and Animation:

  • Provide visual designs for the Champion.

  • Specify animations for idle, attack, and skill use.

  • Consider variations for different skins or weapons.

Champion Roster and Collection:
