Equipment Cards

Card Attachment System

1. Champion Cards

  • Function: Each champion can equip one card.

  • Stats Boost: Cards increase specific attributes (e.g., attack, defense, hp) for the attached champion.

  • Unique Perks: Cards grant special abilities or passive effects to champions.

2. Card Acquisition

  • Loot Drops: Cards drop from defeated enemies pve bosses.

  • Events and Quests: Completing in-game events or quests rewards cards.

  • Gacha Pack System: Players can summon cards using in-game currency.

3. Card Rarity

  • Higher Rarity cards have more broad use. (Examp: 5% fire damage instead of 5% fire damage if wearer is bruiser)

  • Higher Rarity cards are tailored to high rarity champions.

  • Higher Rarity cards typically have more detailed and attractive art.


Strategic Depth

1. Customization

  • Players choose cards based on their preferred playstyle.

  • Different combinations of cards lead to diverse strategies.

  • Example: Attach a “Swift Strike” card to an agile assassin for increased critical hit chance.

2. Synergy

  • Certain cards work better with certain champions.

  • Example: Pair a “Fire Mastery” card with a fire-based mage for boosted fire spell damage.

3. Countering Opponents

  • Players adapt their card loadouts to counter specific enemies.

  • Example: Equip a “Frost Ward” card when facing ice-element foes.


Art and Collectibility

1. Unique Artwork

  • Each card features stunning, hand-drawn art.

  • Collecting rare and epic cards becomes visually rewarding.

  • Players can view their card collection in a dedicated gallery.

2. Card Albums

  • Players complete themed card albums for rewards.

  • Example: Collect all of a theme card to gain premium currency and/or achievement

3. Card Evolution

  • Combine duplicate cards to evolve them.

  • Evolved cards gain improved passive abilities

  • Example: Merge 5 “Fire Cauldron” cards to get 25% fire damage instead of 5%.


Card Upgrading System

1. Currency: Essence Shards

  • Players earn Essence Shards through battles, quests, and achievements.

  • Essence Shards serve as the universal upgrade currency for card experience.

2. Upgrading Cards

  • Spend Essence Shards to level up cards to increase their stats.

  • Higher card evolutions unlock stronger passive effects.

  • Stat gain is linear.

AI Behavior and Skills

These are split into equipment into Combat Equipment and Exploration Equipment.

Combat Equipment: Grants access to new combat related skills or abilities to further combat prowess and versitility

Exploration Equipment: Unlocks abilities to traverse different terrains and interact with the environment.

1. Exploration Equipment

  • Key of Passage: Allows champions to open locked doors, granting access to new areas.

  • Swimming Gear: Enables champions to cross lakes and rivers, opening up new exploration paths.

  • Climbing Tools: Allows champions to scale walls and mountains, discovering hidden locations.

  1. Combat Equipment

  • Ring of Life: Boosts health regeneration and grants a skill to revive once per battle.

  • Storm Bow: Enhances ranged attack and introduces a skill to shoot a volley of arrows.

  • Staff of Wisdom: Boosts magic attack and provides a skill to cast a healing spell.
