League Battle

Players assemble a team, set their formation, and engage in automated battles against other players. The game features a League system where players compete during game seasons, climb tiers, and earn rewards.

Core Features

  1. Idle Battles:

  • Players set up their team, place them in formation and let battles unfold automatically.

  • Heroes use their abilities and tactics without direct player input.

  • Progression occurs even when players are offline.

  • Players can optionally set conditions to stop offline battles (e.g. after 10 losses stop auto queuing so player can correct their team if desired)

  • Battle arena’s (maps) alternate during and between seasons on fixed intervals. Players must log in to confirm their new formation during this time.

  1. League System:

  • The game is divided into seasons, each lasting a fixed duration (e.g., one month).

  • Players compete in the Arena during a season.

  • The goal is to climb the tiers and achieve the highest placement.

  1. Tiers and Rewards:

  • Each season has several tiers (e.g., Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Legendary).

  • Each tier is broken down into 5 sub-tiers (e.g., Bronze 5, Bronze 4, Bronze 3).

  • Players start in a lower tier and progress by winning battles.

  • Reaching a new tier grants rewards:

    • Currency: Earn in-game currency (gems, gold) based on tier.

    • Cosmetic Items: Unlock profile customization options.

  1. Seasonal Rewards:

  • At the end of each season, players receive rewards based on their highest achieved tier during that season.

  • Rewards include:

    • Legendary Skins: Unique skins for existing heroes.

    • Currency: Earn in-game currency (gems, gold) based on tier.

    • Trophies: Cosmetic trophies that can be displayed on profile page or in base building.

    • Fame: Show your spot at the end of a season on the leaderboard with the highest 3 players being shown off from the menu. (This shows the highest at the end of a season, instead of highest achieved spot)

  1. ELO Matchmaking System:

  • The game uses an ELO-based matchmaking system to pair players of similar skill levels.

  • Factors considered:

    • Win-Loss Ratio: Determines player skill and placement

    • Tier: Prioritize players to face opponents within their tier.

Example ‘Brown Dust 2” showing example of top 3 scoring players of the season being shown off.

2nd example is showing when player interacts with one of the top 3 players, they can see their profile and admire that player’s self expression and stats.

Example “Warcraft Rumble” showing sub tiers of ranks and rewards.

Another example of “Warcraft Rumble” this shows a progression bar that shows how rewards are received as a player higher ELO inside a rank sub tier.
